About Me

Matthew C. Mori, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon at the Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center of Mount Sinai and an Assistant Professor in the Mount Sinai Department of Otolaryngology. He received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his residency in the Harvard Combined Program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. During residency, Dr. Mori served as the chief resident at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital. In “Music City” he treated and cared for numerous accomplished singers, actors, and other voice professionals.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Mori worked extensively as a professional singer. He performed as a soloist in musical theatre and opera and sang in the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and Vancouver Opera Chorus. Prior to medical school, he also worked in the University of California of San Francisco Department of Neurosurgery investigating treatment of movement disorders with deep brain stimulation.
