About Me

Julia Wu, MD, is the Director of Dermatology at Elmhurst Hospital Center and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.  She is a board-certified dermatologist trained in the treatment of a full variety of skin conditions, with specialized training and board certification in dermatopathology.

Dr. Wu is a New York born-and-bred native who attended Stuyvesant High School and Julliard Pre-College.  She obtained her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University with induction into the Phi Beta Kappa Society.  Afterwards, she pursued and completed a Masters’ Degree in Music (Piano Performance) from the Manhattan School of Music while starting studies at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she graduated with a distinction in dermatology after completing a pre-clinical fellowship at Columbia University.  After rigorous internship training in internal medicine at NYU, Dr. Wu returned to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for dermatology residency, and furthered her training by completing a dermatopathology fellowship the following year.

Dr. Wu now oversees a challenging and rewarding clinical practice at Elmhurst Hospital Center while also seeing patients at the Mount Sinai Doctors faculty practice at East 85th St.
