About Me

Dr. Gary Spektor has practiced Cardiology for more than 15 years. After graduating with his medical degree from Stanford University, Dr. Spektor completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at NY Presbyterian Hospital. He then moved to The Mount Sinai Hospital for his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. With his board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Spektor specializes in preventative cardiology, nuclear testing, and transesophageal echocardiography. Additionally, Dr. Spektor is multilingual and can communicate with his patients in English, Russian, and medical Spanish.

In conjunction with his clinical work, Dr. Spektor has held several teaching positions with the most recent being an Assistant Clinical Professor of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Heart. He has also been involved in several areas of cardiovascular research, including acting as principal investigator of a recent Mount Sinai Heart research initiative. Dr. Spektor has had multiple publications in distinguished journals in his field and is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
